Dance Auditions

Are you dreaming of appearing on Broadway in a classical ballet production? Or are you shooting for the next Beyonce' video? MegLouise Dance is working to assemble a cast of 4-6 dynamic, intelligent, dedicated powerhouse women for a new production, titled Nearly Nude. Dancers with strong modern dance training, stage presence, improv experience and a positive body image are strongly encouraged to audition.
As the title implies, dancers must be comfortable dancing in revealing costumes. We are seeking a diverse cast of mixed sizes, shapes and colors.
Dancers will be encouraged to have and to express their own opinions regarding body image in today's society.

Dance Alloy Theater is seeking a Male Dancer with strong technique (modern & classical training), partnering skills and an aptitude for dance theater. Must be minimally 5'10". Please bring current photo & resume.

Dance Alloy Theater is offering a 28 week contract beginning September 2008 thru June 2009. Full health benefits, daily company class (modern & ballet) plus an on-site massage therapist. Dance Alloy Theater Company and school is housed in its own state-of-the-art studios in Pittsburgh.

Audition Attire Students should be dressed in appropriate audition attire. Ballet slippers are required for the ballet component. If you have had at least three years of pointe at an advanced level and feel comfortable wearing pointe shoes for the entire ballet portion of the audition, you may do so. Students must remove shoes for the modern component. No warm-ups or sweats allowed. It is suggested students wear convertible tights.
